Abstract
Deforestation is a major global environmental issue that has profound consequences for biodiversity. This article investigates the impact of deforestation on ecosystems and species, focusing on the loss of habitat, species extinction, and the disruption of ecological functions. We explore the drivers of deforestation, including agriculture, urbanization, and logging, and discuss the ecological and socioeconomic implications of forest loss. Additionally, we examine strategies for mitigating the effects of deforestation, such as forest conservation, restoration, and sustainable land management practices.
