Abstract

Hormones are chemical messengers that play a crucial role in regulating a wide range of physiological processes, including metabolism, growth, and reproduction. In addition to their physical effects, hormones also have significant impacts on human behavior. This article explores the relationship between hormones and behavior, focusing on how various hormones influence emotions, cognition, social interactions, and decision-making. It discusses the roles of key hormones, such as cortisol, oxytocin, estrogen, and testosterone, in shaping behaviors related to stress, bonding, aggression, and motivation. Furthermore, the article examines how hormonal imbalances can contribute to mental health disorders and how hormonal therapies are being used to address these issues.
