Abstract
Fungal infections have become a growing concern in human health, especially with the rise of immunocompromised patients. These infections are caused by a wide variety of fungi, some of which can lead to severe and life-threatening diseases. This article investigates the role of fungal infections in human disease, including the mechanisms by which fungi invade the host, the immune system's response, and the challenges in diagnosing and treating fungal infections. Furthermore, the article explores emerging therapies and preventative strategies for fungal infections in both immunocompetent and immunocompromised individuals
