Abstract

Mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder, are complex conditions that affect millions of people worldwide. While environmental factors play a significant role, genetic predisposition is increasingly recognized as an important contributor to the development of these disorders. This article explores the genetic basis of human mental health disorders, focusing on key genes and genetic pathways involved in mental health. It reviews the latest advancements in genomic research, such as genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and discusses how these findings can improve our understanding of mental health and inform future treatment strategies.
