Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly chemical processes has led to the exploration of renewable feedstocks as alternatives to traditional petrochemical-derived raw materials. Renewable feedstocks, such as biomass, waste materials, and CO2, offer the potential to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and lower the environmental impact of chemical synthesis. This article explores the role of renewable feedstocks in chemical synthesis, focusing on their application in the production of bio-based chemicals, polymers, and fuels. The paper also discusses the challenges associated with utilizing renewable feedstocks, including feedstock availability, scalability, and process optimization, and highlights the potential of renewable feedstocks in the transition to a more sustainable chemical industry.
