Abstract

Biofuels are a promising renewable energy source that can reduce dependency on fossil fuels and contribute to a sustainable energy future. Recent advances in the chemistry of biofuels focus on improving their production processes, enhancing fuel efficiency, and reducing environmental impact. This article explores the chemical processes involved in the production of sustainable biofuels, including bioethanol, biodiesel, and advanced biofuels such as algae-based fuels. The paper also discusses recent innovations in biofuel production technologies, challenges in scaling up production, and the role of chemical engineering in optimizing biofuel processes.
