Abstract

Materials engineering plays a foundational role in the advancement of green technologies aimed at mitigating climate change, reducing resource consumption, and enabling circular economies. This article explores how the development and optimization of materials contribute to clean energy, sustainable production, and environmental protection. From photovoltaics and batteries to green building materials and carbon capture systems, engineered materials enable the transition toward low-emission, high-efficiency systems. Emphasis is placed on lifecycle performance, recyclability, and the integration of bio-based and nanostructured materials. These innovations underpin the design of resilient and resource-conscious green technologies across industrial sectors.
