Abstract

Energy harvesting has gained significant attention as a potential solution to meet the growing global demand for sustainable energy sources. Nanostructures, with their unique properties at the nanoscale, have shown great promise in enhancing energy harvesting efficiency. This article explores the role of various nanostructures in energy harvesting technologies, focusing on their application in piezoelectric, thermoelectric, and photovoltaic devices. We discuss the mechanisms behind energy conversion, the design of nanostructures for enhanced performance, and the challenges that need to be addressed to make these technologies viable for commercial use. The potential for nanostructure-based energy harvesting systems to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future is also highlighted.
