Abstract
Nanocomposites, materials reinforced with nanoscale fillers, have garnered significant attention for their enhanced mechanical properties compared to conventional composites. This paper reviews recent advancements in nanocomposite technologies, focusing on the incorporation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene, and other nanomaterials into polymer, metal, and ceramic matrices. Key mechanisms such as interfacial bonding, dispersion uniformity, and filler-matrix interactions are discussed. Applications in aerospace, automotive, and construction industries are highlighted, demonstrating the practical benefits of these advanced materials. Challenges related to processing, scalability, and cost-effectiveness are also addressed, with suggestions for future research directions.
