Abstract
The integration of nanotechnology into clean energy systems, particularly solar energy, is a promising avenue for enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability. Nanomaterials possess unique optical, electrical, and thermal properties that can significantly improve solar cell performance. This article explores the advancements in nanotechnology, particularly nanomaterials like quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, and nanostructured materials, which offer potential improvements in energy conversion, efficiency, and longevity of solar power systems. By modifying the surface properties of materials, increasing light absorption, and optimizing charge transport, nanotechnology is paving the way for more efficient and cost-effective solar power generation. The challenges and opportunities presented by these innovations are discussed, with a focus on scaling these technologies for commercial use.
