Abstract

Real-time process control has emerged as a pivotal component in the evolution of large-scale manufacturing systems, enabling rapid response, adaptive decision-making, and efficient resource utilization. This paper explores the key technologies, control architectures, and integration strategies that underpin real-time control within industrial environments. By examining various control algorithms, hardware platforms, and communication protocols, we illustrate how modern manufacturing systems achieve high throughput, reliability, and scalability. The article further discusses challenges such as latency, data overload, and interoperability, while proposing future directions for intelligent control through AI and Industrial IoT (IIoT) integration.
