Abstract

: Chronic pain is a pervasive and complex medical condition that significantly impairs quality of life. Traditional pharmaceutical interventions often present limited efficacy and adverse side effects, prompting the search for alternative treatments. Natural products derived from plants, marine organisms, and microorganisms have shown promise in managing chronic pain through diverse pharmacological mechanisms. This article explores the therapeutic potential of natural compounds, including cannabinoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, and terpenes, for chronic pain relief. We review current clinical and preclinical findings, highlight challenges in formulation and standardization, and propose future research directions for integrating natural therapies into mainstream pain management.
