Abstract

Pulmonary diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pulmonary fibrosis are major global health challenges. Recent advances in drug delivery systems have significantly improved therapeutic outcomes by enhancing the bioavailability and targeting efficiency of pulmonary drugs. This article reviews innovative approaches in pulmonary drug delivery, including inhalation technologies, nanocarrier systems, and controlled-release formulations. The discussion also addresses current challenges and the future potential of these advanced systems in clinical settings.
