Abstract

Improving production line efficiency is a critical goal for industrial engineers striving to enhance manufacturing competitiveness. This paper explores key industrial engineering solutions—including lean manufacturing, simulation modeling, and work-study techniques—to identify and mitigate inefficiencies within production systems. Through structured problem-solving methodologies and data-driven tools, industrial engineers can streamline processes, reduce cycle times, and improve overall productivity. The paper highlights two strategic approaches—lean implementation and discrete event simulation—to demonstrate their effectiveness in optimizing production operations. A graphical representation of time reduction before and after lean intervention supports the study's findings.
