Abstract
Waste reduction in manufacturing is a critical goal to enhance productivity, minimize environmental impact, and improve economic efficiency. Industrial engineering offers a variety of tools and methodologies to systematically identify, measure, and eliminate different forms of waste in production processes. This paper explores key industrial engineering approaches such as lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and Six Sigma to optimize resource use and eliminate non-value-added activities. By integrating data-driven strategies with process innovation, industries can achieve sustainable production outcomes and a competitive edge in global markets.
