Abstract

Industry 4.0, marked by the integration of cyber-physical systems, IoT, and data analytics, is revolutionizing industrial engineering and enhancing production efficiency. This paper explores how smart technologies are reshaping manufacturing operations by improving process automation, real-time data-driven decision-making, and supply chain integration. Emphasis is placed on the role of smart factories, predictive maintenance, and digital twins in transforming traditional production paradigms. The study further outlines the benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of Industry 4.0 in various sectors. A data-driven approach is used to evaluate the performance impact on key efficiency indicators.
