Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized industrial processes, notably in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), where it enhances efficiency, flexibility, and decision-making across all lifecycle stages. From product ideation to end-of-life, AI applications—such as machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics—streamline data integration, reduce costs, and boost innovation. This article explores the integration of AI within PLM, focusing on design optimization, predictive maintenance, and customer-driven development. It also discusses the challenges of data quality, interoperability, and implementation in real-time systems. A graphical representation of AI impact across PLM phases is included, followed by references supporting key arguments.
