Abstract
Comparative genomics provides valuable insights into the evolutionary relationships between species, highlighting similarities and differences in their genetic makeup. Bioinformatics tools are essential for analyzing large-scale genomic data, enabling researchers to perform comparisons between human and animal genomes. This article explores the use of bioinformatics in comparative genomics, focusing on the identification of conserved and divergent genes, regulatory elements, and functional pathways. We discuss the applications of comparative genomics in understanding human evolution, disease susceptibility, and the use of model organisms in biomedical research.
