The American Journal of Bioinformatics is an open-access journal, ensuring free and immediate access to all published content. To support the peer review process, editorial handling, typesetting, online publication, and long-term digital archiving, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is required upon acceptance of a manuscript.

• Submission Fee: None (manuscript submission is free)

• Waiver Policy: Authors from low-income countries or those without institutional funding may request a full or partial waiver during the submission process. All waiver applications are reviewed individually.

All accepted articles are published under open-access licensing to maximize global accessibility and impact.
