Abstract
The rapid evolution and genetic diversity of viral genomes pose significant challenges in understanding and controlling viral diseases. Computational analysis of viral genomes provides powerful tools to study viral evolution, transmission dynamics, and epidemiology. This article explores the role of computational approaches in analyzing viral genomes, focusing on the applications of bioinformatics tools in epidemiological studies. We discuss the methods used to analyze viral genome sequences, track viral mutations, identify potential sources of outbreaks, and predict viral evolution. Additionally, we explore the challenges, opportunities, and future directions in the computational analysis of viral genomes for advancing public health responses
