Abstract
Clinical genomics has emerged as a pivotal field in modern medicine, enabling the understanding of genetic variations in relation to disease development, diagnosis, and treatment. Bioinformatics has played a central role in analyzing and interpreting large-scale genomic data in clinical applications. This article discusses the applications of bioinformatics in clinical genomics, including variant calling, clinical genome interpretation, genetic counseling, and precision medicine. We also explore the challenges associated with clinical genomics and the future directions in which bioinformatics is transforming personalized healthcare.
