Abstract

Autonomous vehicles (AVs) represent a paradigm shift in transportation, offering the potential to increase safety, reduce traffic, and enhance mobility. AI-driven decision support systems play a crucial role in enabling AVs to make real-time, context-aware decisions. This article explores the application of AI techniques such as machine learning, computer vision, and reinforcement learning in decision-making for AVs. We examine the key challenges in developing decision support systems for AVs, including safety, interpretability, and ethical concerns, and discuss the future directions for these technologies in autonomous driving.
