American Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks – Policies

1. Submission Policy

The American Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks accepts original research and review articles in AI and neural networks. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Authors must follow journal formatting and ethical guidelines. Submissions are made through the official online system. Manuscripts not meeting quality standards may be rejected at initial screening.

2. Peer Review Policy

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts. Reviewers evaluate originality, technical quality, and clarity. Authors may be asked to revise their work. Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Publication Ethics Policy

The journal follows international ethical standards and COPE guidelines. Authors, reviewers, and editors must act honestly and responsibly. Plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission, and improper authorship are prohibited. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Ethical violations may result in rejection or retraction.

4. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin and iThenticate. Authors are responsible for ensuring originality and proper citation.

Similarity evaluation criteria:

  • Up to 10%: Acceptable
  • 11% – 20%: Minor revisions required
  • 21% – 30%: Major revisions required
  • Above 30%: Rejected

References and quotations are excluded. Proven plagiarism may result in retraction.

5. Open Access Policy

The journal is a fully open-access publication. All articles are freely available online without subscription or registration. Readers may access, download, and share content. This policy promotes global knowledge dissemination. No access restrictions are applied.

Authors retain copyright of their published work. By submitting manuscripts, authors grant the journal permission to publish and distribute articles. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). Proper citation is required for reuse. Commercial and non-commercial use is permitted.

7. Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Authors may request withdrawal before peer review completion. Withdrawal after acceptance is allowed only in special cases. Articles may be retracted for plagiarism, ethical misconduct, or serious errors. Retraction notices remain permanently available. The editorial board handles such cases transparently.

8. Archiving and Preservation Policy

The journal preserves published content through OJS/PKP archiving, institutional repositories, and digital backups. These systems ensure long-term accessibility and integrity. Articles remain permanently available online. Regular backups are maintained. Preservation policies follow international standards.
